Zoho & Quebec's Law 25: Make Your CRM and Campaigns Compliant with Data Protection Regulations

HOW TO ENABLE THE ZOHO FEATURES REQUIRED BY LAW 25 YOURSELF


As you likely know, since September 22, 2023, it has been mandatory to obtain consent before collecting personal data (this includes newsletter subscriptions).
We have therefore set up for you the 4 recommended configurations in your Zoho CRM and Zoho Campaigns to help ensure compliance.

Law 25 is a Québec regulation similar to the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) already in effect in Europe.
This law, which came into force on September 22, 2022, applies to businesses, self-employed workers, and organizations that serve clients in Québec. Its aim is to protect personal data by ensuring that information is handled securely and respectfully.

Since September 22, 2023, you must:

  • Display your privacy policy on your website

  • Create an incident log

  • Protect the transmission of personal data

  • Implement opt-in consent for communications

Here are our recommendations to make your Zoho setup compliant.

⚠️ If you collect newsletter subscriptions using a Zoho Campaigns form, Step 2 will enable the opt-in functionality.
If you also collect subscriptions via CRM or Zoho Forms, we highly recommend completing Step 4.
